I’ve recently started writing a mini-series for Root.cz focused on Pingora — Cloudflare’s modern Rust-based proxy framework designed for building high-performance and programmable reverse proxies, gateways, and network services.

The series begins with an introduction to Pingora’s architecture, background, and real-world use cases, including why Cloudflare moved away from NGINX at their scale. The second article dives deeper into request processing, proxy lifecycle, internal workflow, and implementing custom proxy logic in Rust. The goal is to provide a practical, developer-oriented look at Pingora and show how flexible and powerful the framework really is.
